Can I pursue Ph.D if I have scored 51% in MA in English?

I belong to the general category. I have completed BA from Kolhapur University and MA in English from Pune University.

PhD admission with 51% marks in MA English is only possible when you belong to reserved category. If you belong to general category then you need at least 55% marks to become eligible for various PhD entrance exam for admission. Hence, you can apply only when you belong to reserved category. If you
