Can I pursue PhD in mass communication without having 55% in my PG?
I have done my Masters with 53.25%.

It won't be possible to get into Ph.D. without scoring 55%, and some more points are also need to cover:
Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication
55% marks in aggregate at postgraduate level
M.Phil. From any recognised university or institute of higher learning. Masters degree with 55% in aggregate in any subject 5-year experience in media Industry/Teaching/Research in Mass Communication. -
