Can I pursue visual communication or BA in design? Is drawing important to pursue these two degrees as I'm bad in drawing?

Drawing/ creative hand is a must. Good skills of drawing signify creative mind. If you feel that your hands are bad with pencil but good with mouse, you can go ahead. Visual communication can be a better option than design, if you know your drawing skills.
