Can I take admission in a government B.Tech college after completing my Polytechnic?

Matric- 82%, Polytechnic in civil engineering (till 6th semester):- 94%.

Hello Sudhir, Of course yes. You are eligible for lateral admission directly in 2nd year of engineering. But some states give admission based on marks of Diploma but some states give admission based on entrance test.

Some states conduct entrance exam. So, marks in Diploma does not matter. In states where it's based on marks, you need to have a percentile of about 70 to get admission in a government college.
