Can I take admission in an NIT through SAT exam?

Yes, but only for non-indians or NRI's. the fees for them is very high. they need to pay fees in dollars. 2 years back the fees is 1500$ for foreigners admitted through SAT and 25,000 for Indians per semester. It might be a little higher now. At my institute NIT Durgapur, we have people from Nepal Mauritius Kuwait Russia Angola, Mozambique, Ireland, Egypt England . I personally know people from these countries. To my guess to get an admission your SAT score should be around 2300 or above.

8 years agoHi Naz, you must check the admission requirements on the websites. Generally, SAT is accepted for NRIs or foreign citizens.
