Yes, you can take admission through lateral entry in a Diploma course after completing ITI.Eligibility
- Class 12th students
- ITI holders
Admission process- You can get direct admission into the 2nd year of the Diploma course.
- You will have to study for 2 more years.
- In every Polytechnic institution, there are some seats reserved for ITI students (approximately 10%).
Course duration The Diploma course takes three years to complete.After completing the Diploma course- You can sit for JEE Advanced.
- You are eligible to get admission in the IITs.
- You can pursue a bachelor's.

Yes, you can. Diploma is 3 years duration course, which can be done mostly after class 10th examination. But, there is a provision made for class 12th with PCM and ITI completed candidates in eligibility criteria of 3 years Diploma engineering course. As per this eligibility criteria, a candidate who have completed class 12th with PCM or ITI is eligible by lateral entry i.e., he/she will get admission for direct 2nd year of Diploma. But, the Diploma is 3 years duration course. So, Diploma completed by class 12th students through lateral entry is also considered as 3-year duration Diploma engineering course
