Yes, definitely. You can appear for two compartment papers in class 12th. CBSE allows reappearing for improvement papers for upto two subjects. Thus, you can reappear and do bettter, A student needs to satisfy the following criteria to appear for CBSE Compartment exam: Those students who have failed
