    Thapar University admission to most of the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses is based on candidates' performance in several national-level entrance exams. For TIET BTech admission, candidates must have class 12 and a valid JEE Main score. Apart from JEE Main, TIET also accepts CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/GRE/ Thapar Entrance Test for MBA and GATE for ME/ M.Tech admission. TIET does not offer direct admission. Candidates seeking admission to TIET UG, PG and PhD courses need to appear for the course-specific entrance exams.     As per Thapar University website, there is no management quota in the university. Direct admission provision is only for foreign and NRI students.
