Can I take direct admission in the second year of Diploma in engineering or will I have to opt for a 3 years course?

You can get into the 2nd-year of engineering Diploma only if you do your HSC with physics, chemistry and mathematics and you can still take mathematics as an additional subject. Doing Diploma alone doesn't fetch you a good job, in fact, an ITI pass out gets job faster compared to a Diploma holder.
