Yes, you can give improvement exams to improve your score and make up to 75% in 12th. Then, you can appear in the entrance exam.

No there is no provision for improvement in 12th or in JEE. In 12th you can give only compartment exam that is when you have failed in any of the subjects. In JEE, you will have to drop your year and give your exam the next year if you wish to improve your rank.
