Yes, you can take lateral entry admission into a B.Tech course if you have a diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.Lateral entry allows students to join the second year or higher of a B.Tech program instead of starting from the first year.
Here are some eligibility criteria for B.Tech lateral entry:
    • You must have completed a 3-year diploma in engineering from a recognized institute.
    • You must have scored at least 50% aggregate in the diploma.
Admission to various colleges is based on state-level lateral entry exams such as AP ECET, TS ECET, UPSEE lateral entry, and JELET.

Yes, Lateral Entry Admission is available at Lovely Professional University (LPU) for certain undergraduate programs, particularly for students who have completed a diploma. This option allows students to directly enter into the 2nd year (3rd semester) of a Bachelor’s program rather than starting from the 1st year. For B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidates must have completed a 3-year diploma in an engineering discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 60% marks. Lateral Entry for BBA is typically available for students who have completed a 2-year diploma or equivalent in a relevant field, but this can vary by program.

  • Yes, Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers Lateral Entry Admission for some undergraduate programs, especially for diploma-holding applicants. Instead of beginning in the first year of a bachelor's program, this option enables students to start in the third semester of the second year. Candidates must have earned a minimum of 60% in a three-year engineering diploma from an accredited institution to be eligible for B.Tech Lateral Entry. Although this can vary by program, students who have earned a two-year diploma or its equivalent in a related discipline are normally eligible for Lateral Entry into the BBA program.
