Can I try for JEE Mains with my 1st year of Engineering?

Can I try for JEE Mains in my 1st year of Engineering? I got a not-so-good seat in TS EAMCET and want to improve it, but don't want to risk and waste a year of my career. I want to pursue Engg. (IT) in the 1st Year, give JEE Mains+Adv Attempts during the first year for a better seat in the 2nd year.

Hello Hyder, oh yes. You can definitely and surely try. Only issue is different eligibility criteria. Just go through it to be sure that age and passing of 12th are within limits. Thee are plenty of students who do this. Best wishes to you.
