I have done BA in journalism and B.Ed. I opted for SST in B.Ed.

    Hello Divya,
    Here is the list of qualifications required for a teacher's job in a government school.
    Eligibility criteria for I-V class teacher:
    ~ Pass 12th in any stream.
    ~ Also complete one year Diploma in teacher training.
    Eligibility criteria for VI-VIII class teacher:
    ~ Pass graduation with stream which you can teach at the school level.
    ~ B.Ed from recognized university.
    Eligibility criteria for IX-XII class teacher:
    ~ Pass post graduation in any stream which you can teach in school.
    ~ Pass B.Ed from recognized college.
    After completing your graduation, you can appear for the entrance exams like,
    ~UPTET
    ~CTET
    ~JNV
    ~KVS
