There is a large requirement of people to join NGOs for various awareness and education programs. Sociology is one of the good subjects and so is the rural development to start a career in NGOs. Definitely, there are salaries given to the people recruited by the NGOs and also there is also people selected for the voluntary work without any salaries, who aim just for the social cause.
Depending on the departments, the qualifications vary. Some of the best known NGOs are SOS Village, Smile Foundation, Make a Wish foundations and many more like these. The vacancies of which are out in newspapers and on various job portals etc.
