Yes, international students are allowed to work in Canada. To ensure that students coming to Canada do not involve in activities other than education there is a limit to the number of hours international students can work in a week. International students are allowed to work only for 20 hours per week. To work and get paid in Canada, international students need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) issued by Service Canada. If you are a full-time student with a valid study permit then you may work at the campus at which you are registered.
