Can I work while studying at Maynooth University?

<p>Students who want to work part-time during their coursework at Maynooth University need to submit an application and get a PPS number first. Also, students will not get a VISA to visit Ireland for distance learning or enrol in a part-time course.</p><p>International students enrolled in a full-time course of a duration of at least one year need not obtain a work permit to take up part-time work opportunities. Students with an immigration stamp 2 authorization can work up to 40 hours per week for four months in mid-year and a month at the end of the year. At other times, they can work up to 20 hours every week.</p><p>Undergraduate, graduate, and PG students get various opportunities to work on campus. This includes positions such as campus tour guides, tutors, exam invigilators, orientation leaders, etc.</p><p><strong>Graduate Assistantships</strong></p><p>MU offers teaching assistantships to graduates of different disciplines. These scholarships are awarded to applicants starting their PhD Doctoral Studies in the autumn semester. The applicants selected for this scholarship receive EUR 6,500 as tuition fees support and a stipend of EUR 9,007 every year.</p><p><strong>Note</strong>: International students are advised to check the conditions of working in a foreign country on their study visa. They are also advised to confirm any specific instructions on the same from their respective departments and faculties. Under no circumstances should they be found compromising with the law and order of the country.</p><p>Students must also get familiar with the rules and regulations of working in a foreign country and learn about the minimum wages they are entitled to.
