Can lpu offer me good placement if I do aerospace engineering in that university.

Dear Soumya, My sister did B.Tech in Aerospace engineering at LPU and she told me that in the recent year, the highest package offered for aerospace engineering at LPU is 31 LPA. Aerospace is a niche area, the skills required in the industry are beyond the course curriculum of most of the universities. LPU has recognised this and developed the curriculum in consultation with the industry. It has even set up a center for space research with a mission control facility. LPU has set an ambitious goal of developing a satellite LPUSAT-1, which will be launched next year (2021) The Center will enable students and researchers to communicate with the International Space Station (ISS), download lives satellite images, and receive telemetry, Science/engineering data from nano-satellites and larger spacecraft The Center will act as a key facility in the field of space research for LPU as well as a virtual lab for Universities, Colleges and Schools in India and the neighboring countries of India A team of students, Visionauts, from Lovely Professional University have won the prestigious STEM Engagement Award in the 2019 NASA's The human Exploration Rover Challenge was held at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This marks the third consecutive occasion of a team from LPU getting selected to participate in the prestigious competition. Interestingly, the team also got an opportunity to interact with Sunita Williams, a NASA astronaut, and two-time spaceflight veteran, who attended the second day of the event. Aerospace engineering in LPU is a course that is designed for learners who intend to design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles. In addition, these engineers test prototypes to make sure that they function according to plans. These professionals also design components and sub-assemblies for these craft like engines, air-frames, wings. Not more than 20 percent got internships from the college last year.

The course for Aerospace Engineering has been designed for learners who intend to design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles. These professionals also design components and sub-assemblies for these craft like engines, air-frames, wings. The course equips a student to be able to effectively build and communicate the solutions crafted using learnings from basic aerospace engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. He will have the ability to comprehend the problems and craft solutions in the field of Aerodynamics, Aerospace structure, Aerospace Vehicle design and propulsions. He will rightly apply the associated learning for the atmospheric Flight mechanics, JET And Rocket propulsions, Gas Dynamics, and Space Flight Mechanics for the solutions to real world problems. He would demonstrate the ability to propose cost effective optimized solutions for the aerospace sector using a simulated environment of Computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing and computer aided engineering. PLACEMENTS: Companies like Every year more than 550 companies visit LPU for placement purposes. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Bosch, and Siemens Home Appliances, Volkswagon, Unominda, Voltas, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, VA tech Wabag, Thermax, Bristlecone, Tex Fasteners, GigaSolar, Westline Shipping, Raam Group, Nylocore Transmissions. First batch started in 2016 with class of 27 students, out of which 19 has registered for placements and 8 students decided to go for higher studies. Hello, If you are interested in Aerospace engineering then you can go and in terms of placement if you are thinking for core companies related to your sector, then sometimes it may be mismatched. It may be possible that you will get better placement in some other branch that is not core but related to your sector. All the best.
