It depends, what you want to do after completing class 12th. But, most of the courses require mathematics as a main subject and even few schools gives you an option for taking mathematics as an additional subject. First, you should decide your future path. If you want engineering, then you can't consider mathematics as an optional subject. If your direction is different, then you can go for additional subjects.
