Can my friend opt for commerce stream in class 12th?
He opted for science stream in class 11th but he facing some difficulty with this stream.

If your friend studies in CBSE class 11th in science then he/she can change the subject, but remember CBSE allows change of subjects only up to a limited time. For example, if one has non-med and wants to go to commerce or humanities then he/she should immediately submit the application to the Principal/Management.
I think school co-ordinators also alert you once in class 11th if someone wishes to change the subject. Otherwise, it will be too late for taking a decision.
Moreover, I don't think in class 12th CBSE allows subject change.

Yes, if he is facing too much of difficulties in the science stream then he can change the stream. The other option is to join a coaching institute. It can help him to clear the basic concepts.
If he has decided to change the stream then yes, remember one thing, starting with anything is always tough. So, he should be ready to learn commerce from starting.
Don't worry about the career opportunities because science and commerce both subjects have many jobs and career options available.

Yes, he can change the stream. For this, your friend has to submit an application in school regarding this addressing to the principal and they will forward it to the CBSE regarding change of stream. If your friend is not interested in the science stream then there is no use of continuing.
