Can one join M.Tech without GATE exam after doing B.Tech from an IIT?

One needs to appear for GATE to get admission to IIT M.Tech.
Regular M.Tech seats are available at IISc, IITs, and NITs for candidates whose employers have paid for the seats. These applicants are not required to take the GATE entrance exam in order to be considered for admission to M.Tech programmes
