Business Analytics is a field of study involving application of data analytics methods to business problems. Business Analytics, requires a creative energy. This field incorporates business acumen with the underlying data to develop solutions. Decision Sciences is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research about decision making within the boundaries of an organization, as well as decisions involving inter-firm coordination. Decision science seems to be quite structured and outcomes are based on calculations. So in all, Business Analytics is more database entry/construction, where-as decision science is more mathematical modelling.
