Direct admission to Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune is not an option because all students must go through the institute's standardised admissions process. Prospective students must sit for the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, a national-level entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for additional rounds, which include Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI), and Written Ability Test. This tough screening process ensures that only the most qualified and talented candidates are admitted, hence upholding the institute's high academic standards and reputation.

SIBM Pune MBA admissions are based on a valid score in SNAP. However, the final selection is done based on performance in Group Exercise, Personal Interview & Written Ability Test (GE-PI-What). Candidates who complete the course will receive a degree from Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Symbiosis Pune also offers a two-year MBA (residential and full-time), a 30-month Executive MBA, and various other courses to students. Admission to this programme is based on an entrance exam followed by a Personal Interview round.
