To get seat at JNTU Kakinada candidate must qualify the entrance exam for popular course such as BTech, MBA, MCA, BPharm, etc. Admission to these courses are granted based on several state/ national-level entrance exam. At Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Kakinada, one needs to fulfill one of the following requirements in order to be eligible for a free seat:
1) Category for the SC/ST: The annual income of your parents shall not exceed 2.5 lakhs.
2) Rank: A rank of less than 10,000 is required.
3) General category: You have to fall between 100 and 110.
4) Reserved category: 500 is the minimum rank required.
