Can the college cancel my admission? If yes, on what grounds?

I did my HSC in 2004 and applied for BA in 2025. My name appeared in merit list of college and I accordingly completed the admission process by paying fee, submitting all required documents. Now college says that if university objects, my admission will be cancelled. Can they do that?
