    Hello Gaurav,
Firstly, you can appear for JEE Mains exam on the basis of your Diploma also. Diploma is considered as equivalent to class 12th by IIT, and hence you can indeed get admission into IIT based on your Diploma provided of course you have fulfilled other associated criteria. Hope it helps.
    Thank You.

    Hello Gaurav.
Yes, you can appear in IIT JEE examination after pursuing Diploma. All you have to require is that Diploma is from government recognized institutes. Good luck.

I think that class 12th is mandatory for applying to Mains, as details are required to be filled in the form. So, you cannot.

Yes, you can. Diploma which you have done for 3 years makes you equivalent to a 12th pass out, in fact, now if you go for B.Tech, you'll have to do it only for 3 years and not for 4 years.

A Diploma recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration [only for admission to IITs], you should have that then you can appear for JEE Mains.
    Good luck.
  • Yes, not only 10+2 students but also Diploma students can also appear for JEE Mains and Advanced, but you need to satisfy all the eligibility conditions.
You need to work hard and try to clear the JEE Mains and Advanced as they are tougher exams.
    All the best.
