Can we change or upgrade our branch in NIT' AND IIT'S in 2nd year by securing a descent GPA in first year results?

Like for example : - assume as I got a seat in any of the NIT or IIT offering me civil engineering and I accepted it and I studied it in my first year and secured some 9 GPA like that. N then in 2nd year I want to shift to CSE or ECE branch. Will the college management will allow me for that?

Yes, off course you can change or upgrade our branch in NIT or IITs in 2nd year by securing a very descent CGPA in first year. But be careful of one thing that this facility is not available in all IITS or NITS. For information about it, you can go to their websites.
