    Yes you can do PhD even if you have a gap in your study. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)*
    Masters degree with 55%* marks in aggregate in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview. Other conditions, as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes.
    5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-able candidates. *Selection Criteria:*

    You can do a Ph.D. even if you have an education gap. You only need to be hard-working, studious, focused on your domain of study.

    Yes. You can proceed for Ph.D. if there is gap in studies after Masters, you only need to produce Gap Affidavit in prescribed format and satisfying other Significant eligibility criteria.

    Hi, Yes, you can do a Ph.D. even if you have an education gap. You only need to be hard-working, studious, focused on your domain of study. At the same time, for Ph.D. you always do possess a research-oriented approach. LPU also does possess highly advanced Laboratories with cutting-edge infrastructure. Both Full Time & Part-time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part-Time programme, applicants are required to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode are eligible for the Ph.D. programme

    Yes you can apply and both Full Time & Part-time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part-Time programme, applicants are required to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission if working somewhere or You just need to clarify the gap period and show proof that what you have done during this time period. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode are eligible for the Ph.D. programme.

The Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET) of LPU for the 2025 admissions into PE/sports programs was conducted in several schedules, with the latest being on August 26, 2025 (Schedule VI).
