Can we do Ph.D. if there is a gap in studies after completion of Masters?

After that, you have to qualify if the LPU NEST exam if have not qualified national level test such as GATE UGC NET CSIR, GPAT etc. The entrance will have 70% weightage in selection. After that, you have to appear for an interview and qualify for the same and have 30% weightage for the final selection. You may avail of scholarships also on the basis of LPU NEST or National Level Test. There is a special scholarship for female students to pursue a full-time or part-time Ph.D. at LPU. The highlight of the programme is the Flexi-Course Work option specially designed to accommodate professionals wherein a student can choose the best-suited option to complete the course work. If you plan on taking a gap year, it will not affect your chances of getting admissions in universities for pursuing Ph.D. There are several top-notch institutions which offer the course in our country. But if I can advise you for the same I would recommend that LPU is the best place to do Ph.D. along with your current job ( if you are working) as they provide flexible options to study a Ph.D.

You can do Ph.D. after completion of your master's. It does not matter how much gap is there. You just need to show the gap Certificate while taking admissions such as work experience or any other. LPU is the best place to do Ph.D. along with our current job as they provide flexible options to study a Ph.D.

Yes. You can proceed for Ph.D. if there is gap in studies after Masters, you only need to produce Gap Affidavit in prescribed format and satisfying other Significant eligibility criteria.

Yes. None can pursue Ph.D. from LPU. LPU is best for Ph.D. n it also provides flexible course work, Teaching fellowship, scholarship.

Hi there, in case there is a gap after post-graduation, you can submit a self-signed affidavit as to why there was a gap. In case there has been a medical reason, you can submit a medical Certificate. A gap is not a problem in pursuing studies. At LPU both Full Time & Part-time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part-Time programme, applicants are required to submit a NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for the Ph.D. programme. The duration of the Ph.D. programme will be a minimum of 3 Years & a Maximum of 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and the tentative schedule is mentioned below: Option I Duration - One semester - August to November 2021 - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December 2021- 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December 2021 - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) For Full-Time Ph.D. students : After presenting a State-Of-the-Art (SOTA) seminar, there is a fair chance for the students to pursue teaching assistantship in LPU only. Though the selection completely depends upon the selection committee & requirements. There are huge scholarship opportunities for the Ph.D. students 1) Upto 90% for Full Time and 70% for Part-Time based on LPU NEST cut off 2) Scholarship of up to 90% of the Programme fee is offered in Ph.D. programs based on GATE/ GPAT/ SPM/ JRF/ NET (LS)/ affiliations and/ or research outcomes. For example, candidates from Centrally Funded Research Labs/ Industry Professionals/ Teaching Fraternity, etc. Are considered for various Scholarship.

Yes, LPU accept such cases, not in Ph.D. but in other programs also. But, you have to justify your gap. And it is also possible, that you can pursue Ph.D. in part-time, if you are working somewhere. LPU have two courses in PhD 1. Part-time 2. Full time In part-time Ph.D. you have flexi-course work option, to avoid regular visit, as we also understand, it difficult to manage both at one time. In Full-time, you may get the chance of teaching fellowship with stipend of 15600 INR per month. For more details you can visit LPU website.
