Hi Nomanjee, Being an education consultant I can tell you efficiently that Bachelor's degree in agriculture is a big demanding degree now a days even in the government sector. I know about one of the premier institution in India which is situated in Jalandhar, Punjab "lovely professional University" this is India's first private University to get the ICAR accreditation. Hello, Nowadays there is a huge demand for agri graduate in our country. As our P. M. Modi ji launch so many scheme regarding the upliftment in the field of agriculture. There are so many government, central government, state government jobs for agri graduates. You can get a job in- KVK(KRISHI VIKASH KENDRA) Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Agricultural Development Officer (ADO) Agricultural Extention Officers (AEO) Range Forest Officer Farm Manager Agricultural Loan Officer Agri Graduate Trainee Lab assistant at plant pathology, soil science lab. There is a special post for only agriculture student at bank. Like Assistant Officer(AO), (AAO), Field Officers (FO). There is also an opportunity for agri graduates in govt and central govt seed, fertilizers, machinery, inputs, insecticide, pesticides, bio pesticide companies. You can get a job at govt veterinary clinic as an agri graduate. There are so many govt contractual projects regarding irrigation projects, live stocks development projects, sericulture projects, plant breeding labs where mostly the agri graduates have been employed. So here are some govt fields where an agri graduate can get a job. Apart from this our Govt is supporting financially to those who wants a start up with agriculture and allied field. NABARD is one of them. One can go for these job right after the graduation orelse go for higher studies, for research, for academic line like lecturer, professor for better salary. Now answering your another concern, yes you get job after studying from private institution but you should make sure the institution you are selecting should be ICAR accredited and have all the necessary lab facilities for your complete learning. Yes, but your university/college should be accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Chandigarh University is a NAAC A+ university and also has a B.Sc. Agriculture course that is accredited by ICAR.
