Can we join BTech at VIT Chennai without an entrance exam?

<p>Candidates need to have a valid entrace exam score for admission to VIT Chennai BTech programme. VIT conducts VITEEE for admission to BTech course. VITEEE is a 2.5 hour multiple-choice test. The test includes a total of 125 questions divided into the section-Maths/ Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions) and English (5 questions).&nbsp;</p><p>Candidates are selected based on merit for BTech Fashion Technology. There are no entrance exam for this course. However, the students must appear for Personal Interview. Applicants who have studied through Regular, full-time and formal education are eligible to apply.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There is no provision for direct admission in BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at VIT must take the VITEEE exam, which is Vellore Institute of Technology's own entrance exam. VITEEE is a computer-based test.</p><p>Selection is based on the rank secured in VITEEE. Suppose the applicant&rsquo;s rank is above the closing rank specified in the merit list released by VIT. In that case, they can apply further for the counselling process in which they can choose domain, college and other preferences according to their rank.</p>
