Can we live out of lovely professional university hostel?

Yes, you certainly can! But one thing I recommend is that you stay on campus. The following are the reasons for this: 1. Security: Compared to sleeping in a P.G., staying in a hostel provides superior security because you are away from home, thus you need to feel at home here as well, and you have no clue about the place where you are going. As a result, you must stay in a hostel in order to adjust to your surroundings, as the Campus has several security guards to keep you secure. Because parents are more concerned about their daughters, the institution provides ample time for ladies to register in their particular dorms. These timings, however, do not interfere with their studies because libraries are open until 12 a.m., and in that event, female security guards pick up and drop off girls from their different dormitories. 2. Facilities: Think of a facility that isn't located on campus! It could be a bookshop, a university hospital, a gym, or a shopping mall. Each and every amenity is available here. So why go outside when you have all you need right here? Furthermore, who doesn't desire free internet access? The internet speed is limited to 50 KBps 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, you may always use a VPN to bypass login authentication and get the maximum internet speed. 3. Access to the library at any time during the day: During the day, you can go to the library whenever you like. However, they have a certain time during the night when they will transport you to the library. Girls who want to attend the library are brought together from all the girl-hostels and taken to the library by two female security guards between designated times. 4. Extracurricular Activities: If you are interested in extracurricular activities such as dancing, singing, or sports, that university may have student clubs where you can join and pursue your interests. That's right, you read that correctly! These events usually take place at the end of the day, around 5 p.m., and if you're staying in a hostel, you'll be able to catch up on them and go back to your room quickly. 5. Food: Keep in mind that LPU has a lot of diversity because students come from all over the world and have different cultures and backgrounds, so keep that in mind. LPU offers a wide range of cuisines from throughout the world, including Italian, Chinese, South Indian, and African cuisines. Inside the campus, there are numerous food stalls where you may sample a variety of foods.

Yes, there are various PGs outside the university where you can live and make your travel arrangements to university accordingly or via bus. But still being a hostler at my time of pursuing I would still suggest thinking for hostel first due to many reasons like safety, library access, positive healthy environment free of drugs and ragging, easy access to classes daily, extracurricular activities and awesome hygienic mess food with various cuisines.

Yes, there is no restriction for students to book only residential facilities inside the campus. Students are free to book P. G or other facilities outside the campus also. But hostels are much safer and pocket friendly for students. Apart from hostels are also facilitate with library facilities, positive healthy environment free of drugs and ragging, easy access to classes daily, extracurricular activities and hygienic mess food with various cuisines, university Mall, 24*7 open university hospital Banks facility, ATM, indoor and outdoor sports etc.

Yes, you can live outside LPU there are flats, apartments, PG rooms available but LPU has its own residential area, which includes a hostel (different seater) personal apartments etc. All facilitates are provided at the Campus Hostel and you'll have the complete choice to choose the accommodation that suits you and your budget. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination : Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exists here. There is a complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess : Honestly I won't lie about the mess at campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like mess. If your one of them very good and if not then fab your in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all for the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym : There are so many places at Campus for out door games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you will have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. Personal Experience: Getting bored is not an option at LPU because you will be busy with your classes for more than half of the day and other time with habits and passion if your a passion follower and If not you will become one before you leave LPU. Here you will find many like that! After getting free from all this then you will barely have sometime with your hostel mates or roommates but still they will always remain an integral part of your life. You will get each and every facility inside the campuslike Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), etc.

Of course, you can!! But I suggest you one thing to stay inside the campus. The reason behind the same is as follows : 1. Security: Staying in a hostel gives you top-notch security as compared to staying in a P.G, Coz as you are far from your home, so you need to feel that home vibe here also and secondly you have no idea about the environment where you are going. So in order to adapt the surrounding, you must stay in a hostel as the Campus have many security guards to keep you safe. As parents are more concerned about the girls, so the university has proper time for girls to mark their attendance in their respective hostels. However these timings cause no hindrance to their studies as the libraries are open till 12 am at night, and in that case, female security guards pick these girls from their respective hostels and drop them too. 2. Facilities: Name a Facility that is not available inside the campus!!! Let it be a bookstore, Uni- Hospital, Gym, or let be its shopping mall. Each and every facility is provided here. So why step out, when you have everything in here. Moreover, who doesn't want free wifi 24/7, the internet speed is limited to 50 KBps, however, you can always bypass login authentication using VPN in order to gain the maximum internet speed. :) 3. Anytime library access: During the day, you can visit the library anytime you want. But during the night, they have a certain time they will take you to the library. Two security guards will take girls to the library between specific timings, and Girls who want to visit the library are grouped together from all the girl-hostels and are taken to the library by two female security guards. 4. Extracurricular Activities: If you are passionate about extracurricular activities like dancing, singing, or related to any sports, then that university has certain student clubs where you can register yourself and follow your passion. Yes, you read that right!! Usually, these activities occur at the end of the day i.e. from 5 pm onwards and if you will be staying in a hostel it would be easy for you catch up with those activities and reach your room easily. 5. Food: LPU has huge diversity as students are from different areas and share different culture and background, so keep this in mind LPU has diverse food from different regions of the world, let it be Italian, Chinese, south Indian or African. There are many food kiosks inside the campus from where you can grab a bite from all these food types. Thanks!

I have lived in a Flat outside Campus and inside Campus hostel too. If I had to rate between the both, The Hostel inside the campus was much better. Hi there, Well, being an LPU-hostler I would like to answer your query. Yes, it all depends on you, where you want to stay you can. There is a place just outside the LPU campus called Lawgate where most of the outsiders stay, apart from that in drama-mandi, deep-Nagar, chehru, phagwara are the places I have seen students residing. Moreover, LPU itself provides residential facility to students as well as to the staff. I being an alumni as well as an existing student of LPU am eligible to answer your question. I have stayed in LPU-hostels for 4 years and that has been an amazing experience of my life. The environment over there is quite over-whelming and healthy. As per my own experience, I feel the life at LPU hostels is happening and mesmerizing. The first and most important thing is that hostels are least distant from the block where classes are conducted. The second thing, you get to utilize library till late night upto 12 AM and during exams upto 2 AM. One gets to participate in inter-hostel cultural activities which are all fun. Moreover the security thing is the best out of everything I have experienced. The rooms are good and wardens are very humble. The water facility is very nice and everything one needs in also available. The departmental store in inside the hostel and remains open till 12 AM. I feel one must choose to stay in LPU hostels rather than staying in an outside PG. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi, It's a personal choice whether one wants to stay in a hostel or outside. If I talk about my choice, I would prefer a hostel over outside accommodation. The reasons I list below. 1. The primary concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children, and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. 2. There is a 24 hr medical facility. 3. Open Gym, as well as the playground, is there in every hostel for the students. 4. Access to the library till 12 o'clock at midnight. 5. Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 6.24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. If all these facilities are provided, then I think there is no need to move outside. Thanks.
