You'll need a degree in archaeology, and a specialist skill, such as geophys. A master's degree in a related field will help and a doctorate will get you well on the way.

Yes, after finishing your B.Tech. , you can choose to take an archaeology course. In many colleges, you must be a graduate to be admitted to the master's programs in archaeology. Even though some prestigious colleges might require you to take the CUET-PG exam, they still permit graduates from other streams to pursue archaeology. You can submit an application for admission to the following colleges:
    1. Kerala University
    2. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University
    3. Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University
    4. St. Xavier's College
    5. Central University of Haryana
    6. Banaras Hindu University
    7. The Ram Manohar Lohia University in Avadh
    8. Rashtrasant Tukadoji M
    ...more
