can we pursue ph.d in genetic engineering after m tech bioinformatics?

Thanks @aniket. Genetic engineering is entirely different compared to bio-informatics. First one being more inclined towards core biology and deeper understanding of medical science. The second aspect is core dilution or core strengthening. I would suggest you to strengthen your core by opting Ph.D
