    Five difference between plants and animals cells:
    Animal cells come in various sizes and tend to have round or irregular shapes. Plant cells are more similar in size and are typically rectangular or cube shaped. Animal cells store energy in the form of the complex carbohydrate glycogen. Plant cells store energy as starch. Animal cells do not have cell wall, but have cell membrane. Plant cells have a cell wall composed of cellulose as well as a cell membrane. Cilia are found in animal cells but not usually in plant cells. Animal cells do not have plastids. Plant cells contain plastids such as chloroplasts, which are needed for photosy

    1. Plant cell is larger in size as compared to animal cell.
    2. Plant cell has rigid cell wall made of cellulose whereas animal cell has thin plasma membrane.
    3. Plastids are present in plant cell and absent in animal cell.
    4. A mature plant cell has large vacuole whereas Animal cell has small vacuole.
    5. Nucleus of plant cell lies on one side in the peripheral cytoplasm whereas Nucleus in animal cell lies in the centre.
    6. Lysosome are rarely present in plant cell hut they are present in animal cell.
    7. Centrioles are absent in plant cell and present in animal cell.
    8. Glyoxysomes may be present in Plant cells but are absent in Animal cells.
