    Hi Prateek, India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IPS officers are recruited. IPS means Indian Police Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country. The Indian Police Services are responsible for internal security, public safety and law and order.
    To be eligible:
    1) A candidate should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
    2) A candidate in his final year is also eligible for the civil services exam. (IPS, IFS, IAS)
    3) A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 YEARS of REL

    Hi, First of all great to know that you want to go for Civil Services. Keep it up.
    To be eligible to sit for IPS (Indian Police Services) Exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year, one needs to be:
    An Indian National Citizen
    A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and
    Between the age limit of 21 to 30 years.

    The examination is conducted in three level pattern.
    CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test), Mains followed by an Interview round.
