Amongst all the IITs in India, IIT Kharagpur is the oldest IIT in India, which was set up in 1951 followed by IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras in 1959. IITKGP offers a four-year BTech programme across 15 Engineering specialisations with a 5 year Integrated M.Tech programme across 15 specialisations.
