  • Hello Gobind Bedi,
The counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs begin only after JEE Advanced examination only. May be it will start at the end of June or July.
The exact dates are not announced officially.
The website for JoSSA counselling is www.josaa.nic.in
Through this, you can apply for counselling.
The following link gives you the previous year closing and opening ranks:
    http://josaa.nic.in/Result2016/result/OpeningClosingRank.aspx
    All the best.

The counselling for IIT NIT and IIIT will be carried out through an online portal of JoSAA where you will need to fill your option form for IIT NIT, IIT GFTI at the end of June or starting week of July. After that, seat allotment rounds will be carried out by JoSAA and based on your form, you will get a seat at NIT IIT IIIT or GFTI
After that, you have to approach to the counselling centre of JoSAA where you will have to opt for either float slide or freeze option to participate in furthur rounds. All the best.
