    Central for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC)
    Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS)
    National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)
    Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL)
    Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

    There is no information technology or computer science cadre in government. However, both central and state governments hire software engineers on need basis by publishing advertisements regularly in leading newspapers. There are some government undertakings which hire software engineers regularly such as NIC, CDAC, NISG, etc. Majority of PSUs hires software engineers. R&D organisations such as DRDO, ISRO, CSIR, etc. also hire software engineering graduates. Graduate IT and CSE engineers are hired by armed forces and paramilitary forces.
