Can you please tell me about placements? What is the highest package offered to any student in recent times?

In the most generic case, placements are dependent on universities and colleges from which students graduate like IITs, NITs and state level colleges, degree earned, the credibility of the students like marks, personality, technical acumen, practical exposure and project experience and certifications/recommendations. Also if there is any special requirement for a particular company it would be included as part of recruitment interview process. Each college and University has a placement record of sorts which can be reviewed online and as well through communication with students/alumni. There are lots of opportunities for off-campus drives too for which you should register your profile on leading job websites. Different sets of companies Tier1/Tier2/Tier 3 offer varied sets of packages. Hence, in short, Talent and individual ability and experience is what decides the pay package.
