    Hello Pushpender,
    The counselling process is there to select a particular branch for you depending on your rank and the branch seat availability. As your counselling starts, there will be an introduction to the college. Afterwards which, a digital screen will be displayed containing the ranks and seat availability in every branch. You will be later called to another room where you have to select your two preferences for the branches. You can choose the one which is available or even the one which is on waitlist. After few days, you'll be notified which branch is there in your basket and you may even get the another wait listed chosen o

    It is on rank 3rd for petroleum engineering all over India. In terms of placements, petrology gets the highest placements here.
    For CS, there are 17 specialisations you can choose.
    CS branches also gets good placements. Top recruiters are IBM, LNT, Microsoft, VMware, Dell, etc.
    The highest package for petroleum was around 27 LPA last year. And it was 17 or 18 LPA for CS.
