can you please tell me the work of indian foreign service officers?kindly answer it?

i had visited several websites but no one tells what ifs officers do they only tell about the training period and transfers.i want to know how they help in progress of the country,do they work for poor citizens and bring topics regarding them on global level ,do business for country or not.

Hi, The main aim of IFS officers is to serve the Nation in Foreign Services. Job Roles : 1. Representing India in its Embassies, High Commissions, Consulates, and Permanent Missions to multilateral organisations like UN. 2. Protecting India's national interests in the country of his/her posting.
