Currently, I am doing B.Tech in IIT Delhi in CSE and my rank was 500 AIR. As I was OBC, I was able to get IIT. Delhi. So, I think you have to secure under 800 rank in JEE Advance, if you are general. But, I will suggest you to do B.Tech in CSE IIT, Delhi or IIT, Bombay, because CSE in these two are much better than any other IIT.

To get into the lowest ranked branch at IIT Kanpur you must have a rank between 4000-5000. You might get Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at IIT Kanpur with this rank. IIT Kanpur being one of the topmost colleges of the country is the priority college for the toppers. So, you need to score really well to pursue B.Tech in core branch from IIT, Kanpur.

However, candidates can also increase the frequency of this to 5 to 6 papers per week, one month before the exam. Candidates should also assess their performance after solving each JEE Advanced question paper to understand their weaknesses and strengths.
