Can you provide a clear picture of how will the career be after getting MBA from tier1- & tier2 colleges?

My parents are convinced with MBA even if it's not from IIM's. I want to pursue MBA in marketing. Can you name some alumni who are from B-Schools other than IIMs?

A career of a person depends on a lot many factors. Majorly it has to do with a person personality traits, interpersonal skills, learning skills, work delivery, etc. An MBA from a tier-1 college gives a person exposure to better quality education, faculty & some of the best companies during the campus placement time and thus get an opportunity to a good placement offer in a better company. A Tier-2 college will offer you exposure to a lower extent compared to tier-1. Post the campus placement a lot would depend on your individual efforts to grow up the corporate ladder in your field of exposure.
