Hi. The CDC centre plays an integral role in creating the illustrious placement record of VIT. It ensures smooth functioning of the placement activities in the campus. The centre further facilitates training activities of the students and makes sure they get placed in the best of both national and international companies. Different companies offered CTC, some of them are- Microsoft- 44,00,000 AppDynamics- 39,20,000 D. E. SHAW- 35,25,000 UDAAN-35,00,000 WorkIndia- 35,00,000 Cloudera- 31,33,000 Amazon- 29,50,000 Motorq- 26,00,000 Morgan Stanley- 25,30,000 PayPal- 23,80,000 Wells Fargo EGS India- 20,00,000 Wipro Technologies (Wipro Turbo) made job offers to 278 students with a CTC (cost to company) of 6.50 Lacs per annum from the 2020 graduating batch of Vellore Institute of Technology during the campus recruitment drive held at the VIT campus. This is the highest number of dream offers given by the company to the students from a single institution, and has found a place in the Limca Book of Records in its 2020 edition (9th Time). This surpasses the earlier record of 238 dream offers made by the same company to the 2019 graduating batch of VIT. This is also the 8th time that the VIT is entering the Limca Book of Records for campus placements. Earlier, VIT has entered into the Limca Book of records in 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015 (two records), in 2016 for the highest number of IT services placements, in 2017 and 2018 for the highest number of dream offers.

The placements at VIT Vellore for the Computer Science Engineering branch are good and above average. More than 150 companies like Flipkart, Amazon, PayPal, eBay, Csico, Qualcom, Via, Cleartrip, PayU, Swiggy, Verizon, Bank of America, Instamojo, Deloitte, Boston Consultancy etc. visit the campus for CSE students. The highest package was offered by Adobe (40 Lacs per annum) but only for women. Average package is on the plus side of 6 lacs per annum. The average salary package offered is 6-7 LPA, whereas the average salary package offered in CSE is 8-9 LPA. Almost all companies visit to hire students like Microsoft, Google, etc. In CSE, more than 99% of students are placed, and other branches whose placements are good. Hope it helps.
