The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a master's degree in business administration (management). The MBA degree provide skills and knowledge to students to apply scientific approaches to management. The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy. Most programs also include elective courses. MBA programs that require students full time and physical presence are called full-time MBA. All other type of MBA programs which do not requirement full-time presence of students on B-School campus are part-time MBA programs. Part time MBA are created specifically for professionals with work experience. Major difference in delivery of Part Time and full-time MBA is pedagogy. Full time MBA are taught by extensive case studies and group work whereas Part-time MBA has more of lectures. Full Time MBA students have easy access to teachers and fellow students for discussion leading to better learning. Full-time MBA provides environment for overall development of student. Full time MBA are able to avail campus placement facility which is missing in part-time MBA. The minimum eligibility criterion for admission in MBA is at least a 3-years Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent (45 per cent for SC/ST or persons with disability (PWD) category).
