Can you provide some guidance around MBA?

Dear Madhu, the course prepares you for the managerial skills needed in managing a company. Now, for acquiring the skills you need to do the course from some good institute. Institutions like IIM, IBS, etc. Offer you admission on basis of CAT test scores but then there are good private universities like Lovely, Manipal, Symbiosis, etc. Offering MBA. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of CAT/ MAT/ XAT scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of marks in previous qualifying exam. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in previous qualifying exam or CAT/ MAT/ XAT or even during the course. Prepare well for CAT. You need to score 50% and above in graduation. GDPI matters. So, prepare well. I got into DBS, Dehradun with 93.5% in CAT.

It is a good programme, if done from a good institute. Scope and opportunities are very wide. Modern day management is not restricted to classroom study only, but has a complete practical approach.
