LPU offer both Full-time and Part-time Ph.D. in the various programme. If you have decided to pursue Ph.D. at LPU, then go for it. You will get scholarships as well, especially for women. One of my friends enrolled for Ph.D. at LPU. Let me share the criteria of admission to join Ph.D. at LPU. It is not difficult to get admission to Ph.D. if you are good at research work. To increase your chances to get admission in Ph.D. , you should have a good academic record and area of research you want to work in. There are many universities which offer the Ph.D. programme, LPU is one of the best university to do Ph.D. to enhance your knowledge in the research area. Let me share something about the Ph.D. programme at LPU. *Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)* Masters degree with 55%* marks in aggregate in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview. Other conditions, as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes. 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-able candidates. *Selection Criteria:* * An applicant will be short-listed for an interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). * The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. *Exemption from Entrance Test* Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE or GPAT scorecard/ ICAR (NET), SPM, Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Programme (in Regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). Note: * Exemption is for LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) only but the applicant will have to fill the LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) form and appear for the Interview. The applicants are required to bring the original documents against which exemption is sought at the time of interview. * GATE/GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission. * The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. Hello Raj, LPU is a good place for Ph.D. LPU has both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs available. In case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and tentative schedule is mentioned below: Option I Duration - One semester - August to November 2021 - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December 2021- 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December 2021 - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M.
