    PhD is a one among the highest level of education standard. The minimum qualification required is to have Masters degree.
    It is awarded in different streams like sciences, engineering, and humanities and others.
    The eligibility to apply for PhD may vary according to the country, institution, and time period.Some institutions also offer the opportunity to upgrade or fast-track your Masters degree to a PhD, provided you are deemed to possess the necessary grades, knowledge, skills and research abilities.

    Ph.D. is a doctorate level degree which is famous among academicians. It is necessary for direct recruitment for the position of Assistant Professor from 2021.     Hello,To make career in the lectureship and Research programme, there are many ways you can go into the Ph.D programme. Exams like GATE CSIR NET UGC NET and other exams are conducted for the students from the Arts to the Science and Mathematics Subject. GATE Exam - After clearing the GATE Exam you can apply for the M.Tech exam and Ph.D Exam in Science Field. CSIR NET Exam- the CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the students from the Science and Mathematics Field. Candidates completed Masters programme can apply for the CSIR NET Exam.     Any master degree holder with minimum 55% marks is eligible to do Ph.D. To enroll in this programme the best way is to write UGC NET exam in the specific Stream. It conducted twice in a year, respectively in the month of June and December. If the aspirants clear this exam, then on the basis of the same they can take admission in Ph.D. programme. Else, they may also check the notification of different universities or colleges who are offering this course and you may directly apply for their entrance exam and basis selection they can be eligible for admission.     Hello Raj, LPU is a good place for Ph.D. LPU has both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs available. In case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students).
