1) Scope :
-Chemical Engineering graduates have good job opportunities in manufacturing and service industries such as food, materials, specialty chemicals, plastics, power production, biotechnology, tyre manufacturing, nanotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, chemical engineering designs, nuclear energy, materials science, development of new sources of energy and even medicine.
-Some opt to work in laboratories and universities as a professor.
-Those interested in government jobs have to clear Engineering Service examinations conducted by the UPSC.
-The engineering graduates are employed in defense establishment, healthcare related research projects, atomic power plants, environment regulation, recycling department and power conservation projects.
2) Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, to give you a brief idea,
-The average package for fresher will be Rs. 15,000 per month.
-The package for Diploma holders varies from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000 per month.
-Senior engineers earn between Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 per month.

Before seeking admission in any institute, kindly check the below mentioned parameters such as affiliation, accreditation, fee structure, curriculum, admission procedure, entrance exam patterns, etc.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission into bachelor’s degree is, higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For admissions into the IITs, the student has to clear the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E).
The duration for the course is 4 years.
