Can you provide the study material or names of books to prepare and clear the entrance of FTII for direction course?

See the direction course paper of FTII consisted of two sections(as I knew four years back): Section 1 had GK and Current Events which had 20-25 marks and the rest 75-80 marks were on section 2,which consists of some specific aspects. In Section 1, mainly 'fill in the blanks' questions are there which are based on Indian Culture, Music, Famous Personalities, Musical Instruments, Singers, Dancers, Artists, etc. Mostly these questions will be based on Indian Cinema. Section B will consists of specific topics like you have to write an essay about conversation between two old friends and you will be given a picture and asked to elaborate the scene like that and imagining the sounds you will hear in a tea stall next to a railway stations and stuff like that. I suggest you concentrate on the specific aspect section as it contains most of the marks and there is nothing definite in GK section. In GK section, you may or may not get a common question, so therefore you have to score marks in Section B. Also try to find the previous years paper as it will give you an idea of what to expect.
