    Eligibility criteria for admissions in Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA are set by IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs which usually include a benchmark of a minimum of 75% in Class 12 examinations (or in the top 20 percentile of respective boards) as qualification for eligibility into undergraduate programs in the institutes.

    However, these sorts of requirements are not strictly applicable in the case of all institutions that come under the JoSAA purview-some of them specifically waive such eligibility conditions for candidates of SC/ST, PwD, or other reserved categories when applying to their institution.
